The ” Streets of Japan ” is a collection of 28 paintings that is dedicated to all my Japanese Family and Friends who taught and supported me while I was living and making art in Japan and Canada.
Drainspotting – Manhole covers in Japan:
Artworks as pictoral information are underfoot in the form of manhole covers when you walk the main and back streets of Japan (Manhole Covers as Works of Art). Depictions of local buildings, landscapes, trees, floral designs and birds in bright colours enliven the walkers’ journey, giving the work of art it’s meaning.
You can take an online tour of the factory in Japan where the manhole covers and drain covers are manufactured.
